Accounting and Tax Applications Program
The department is a four-semester higher education program that aims to train qualified intermediate manpower (accounting professional staff) who can open and run a workplace where they can practice the profession of self-employed accountancy on their own behalf after meeting the legal requirements, and who can take responsibility for the accounting services of financial consultancy offices and private and public institutions and organizations that provide services in accounting and tax issues.
In the education process, students; As an accountant, legal responsibilities and the importance of following the legislation related to the profession are comprehended, the ability to recognize and organize the documents used in commercial life is gained. Applied accounting courses are given in computer environment and it is aimed that students can gain the skills of running computer package programs, making correspondence related to the field, storing information and using stored information. The curriculum includes courses that will enable students to gain these features and to gain the habit of processing the books used in commercial life according to the procedures and principles in accordance with the legislation.
One of the main activities of the department is industry-based learning (internship) practices. With 30 working days of compulsory internship studies, students are provided with the opportunity to observe and apply the knowledge, skills and habits they have acquired in higher education in a real environment. Considering that the graduates of the Department of Accounting will mostly work in accounting and finance departments, the directions related to internship studies are made towards these areas and it is recommended that internships be done mostly in free accountant and financial consultancy offices.
