Program Profile
The tourism sector, which has an important place in the service sector, is growing day by day in our country and its importance for the economy of our country is increasing day by day. In our country, there is a continuous increase in the number of people participating in tourism activities and the number of enterprises operating in the field of tourism. Depending on this increase, the demand for qualified labor force in the tourism sector, which is already a sector based largely on manpower, is increasing even more. The aim of the Tourism and Hotel Management Program is to train self-confident individuals who have the basic level of knowledge about the field, equipped with the ability to use and analyze the information they have acquired, can work at all levels of a tourism business, attach importance to ethical values, have strong social relations and communication skills, think positively, are prone to teamwork, closely follow the developments in the sector and the world. Profile of the Programme The main objective of the Tourism and Hotel Management Program is to train qualified professionals who can be employed in all areas of the tourism sector, especially in the field of hospitality management. Depending on this goal, our academic and administrative staff work with great devotion to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education in both theoretical and practical areas. In this program, General Tourism, Tourism Marketing, General-Vocational and Second Foreign Language, Hotel Management, Front Office Management, Housekeeping Management, Food and Beverage Services Management and Management, Kitchen Services Management, Food and Beverage Service Techniques, Human Resources Management, Congress and Fair Organization, Cost Analysis in Tourism Enterprises etc. courses are given to our students.

Qualification Awarded Students who successfully complete all of the courses available in the program (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) and obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are awarded an associate degree in the field of TOURISM AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT.

Admission and Registration Requirements
Admission and Registration Requirements The registration of candidates to vocational schools is made in accordance with the principles to be determined by the Council of Higher Education and the Interuniversity Council. Registration to the university is done by the candidate himself/herself. However, the registrations of those with justified and valid excuses can also be made by their relatives. A student ID card is given to the student who is definitely enrolled in the university. For registration to Vocational Schools; 1) To be a graduate of high school or equivalent vocational school; the equivalence of diplomas obtained from foreign high schools must be approved by the Ministry of National Education, 2) As a result of the Student Selection and Placement Examination (ÖSYS), it is required to be placed in the Tourism and Hotel Management Program with the central placement system in that academic year. Qualification Requirements and Regulations In order to obtain an associate degree in the field of Tourism and Hotel Management, students must successfully complete all of the compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to a total of 120 ECTS) and achieve a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.

PO-13 Know the applications of menu planning, food production, kitchen services management, service services, banquet organizations under the food and beverage department in hotel businesses and take an active role in these applications.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates Graduates can easily find jobs in all tourism businesses, especially in hotel businesses, food and beverage businesses, large touristic cruise ships, banquet, congress and fair organization companies, as well as in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Tourism Provincial Directorates and Municipalities.
Access to Higher Degree Programs
Access to Further Studies Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can make vertical transfer to undergraduate programs related to their fields, provided that they are successful in the DGS (Vertical Transfer Exam) exam. They can also make vertical transfer directly to the relevant undergraduate programs of Open Education Faculties without an exam.
